Consider taking our Residual ACT Bison Achievement AwardLipscomb awards $1,500 a year to students who show potential for academic success but didn’t qualify for one of our academic scholarships. For this award, you must maintain a GPA of 3.00 or above. National Merit Finalist and Semi-Finalist ScholarshipsNational Merit finalists receive a full-ride scholarship including tuition, room, board, and fees. Semi-finalists receive a full tuition scholarship plus $2,000. Confirmation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation is required. If you receive one of these scholarships, you need to maintain a GPA of 3.25 or above. State scholarshipsState scholarships automatically award $1,000 to freshmen who come from out of state. As long as you maintain a GPA of 3.25 or above, your scholarship will be renewed for four years. Be sure to ask your recruiter about other scholarships for your particular state, especially if you’re from Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, or Texas. Trustee ScholarshipThis prestigious full-tuition scholarship is awarded to five freshmen selected through an interview process. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must have scored a 30 or higher on the ACT or 1320 or better on the SAT. If you receive this scholarship, you’ll need to live on campus and maintain a GPA of 3.25 or above. Learn more on the Presidential Scholars tab. Vision awardLipscomb awards annual $1,000 scholarships to students who have faced difficult odds and remain committed to getting a college education. Prospective students who meet three of the criteria below will be awarded an annual scholarship of $1,000. To qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen and maintain a minimum 2.00 G.P.A. while enrolled.
Interested students who meet the criteria above may apply online here. International Student ScholarshipAll new international freshmen and transfer students who live on campus and are enrolled for 12 hours or more receive a 50% tuition discount. That’s right: half off, although you can’t combine this discount with other scholarships. International students who live off campus and are enrolled in 12 hours or more are eligible for an annual scholarship valued at 33% of tuition. Scouting ScholarshipsThis annually renewable award equals $2,500 per student and is available to incoming freshmen who have received the Eagle Scout Award, Venturing Silver Award, Sea Scouting Quartermaster Award, GSUSA Gold Award, or American Heritage Girls Stars and Stripes Award. Written proof of award required. The funds will be applied to room & board charges only, up to a maximum of 8 semesters. The student must live on-campus and maintain a 3.0 GPA to be eligible. Children of ministers* and missionaries who are under 25, unmarried, and pursuing their first undergraduate degree, will receive a scholarship of $11,000 which can be stacked with all other gift aid not to exceed full tuition. Students receiving this scholarship must live on campus to be eligible.
Children of administrators, teachers, or staff** of a current National Christian School Association member school will receive a scholarship of $5,500 which can be stacked with other gift aid not to exceed full tuition. Children of parents employed at member universities will continue to receive a 50% tuition discount not stackable with other institutional aid. Academic scholarship combined with the tuition discount cannot exceed 50% of tuition.
Lipscomb University will match any amount up to $500 (per year) that a Church of Christ contributes to a student’s education at Lipscomb.

*To qualify, the minister must be in a Church of Christ congregation and the position must be full-time (at least 40 hours per week) and the primary paid vocation of at least one parent. A verification form, signed by one elder of the minister’s church, will be required each academic year. The award is subject to all GPA and probation restrictions for non-merit grants. A full load of 12 hours is required.
**Though a day-care facility is not a school by our definition, licensed teachers who teach kindergarten are eligible. Other day-care facility
employees are not eligible.
