The Application Process

If you are returning to Lipscomb after an absence of one semester or longer, or plan to enroll for one semester only, go here.

1. Online Application & Fee

The first step is to complete the online application. All applicable questions should be answered in full before clicking the "submit" button .

If you do not wish to apply online, you may download the application.

Send your completed forms with your $25 application fee to (Fee waived until August 1) :

2. Transcript & Educational Recommendation Form (Download)

• First-Time Freshmen should complete the top of the form and submit it to the high school guidance counselor who should then send it with the transcript to the Office of Admissions.
• Home-School Students should submit a home school record or transcript. In lieu of an educational recommendation, a second personal recommendation (see step 3) should be submitted.
• Transfer Students are required to submit an official transcript* from each college previously attended. In addition, transfer students with less than 60 credit hours should submit an official high school transcript. *To be considered official, a transcript must be sent directly by the issuing school to Lipscomb University.

3. Personal Recommendation Form (Download) This recommendation should not be completed by a family member.

4. Test Scores

When registering for these tests, please request that your scores be sent to Lipscomb. Our institutional code for the ACT is 3956. The SAT code is 1161. After the test date you may request additional scores by visiting www.act.org or www.collegeboard.com.

6. Campus Visit

A campus visit including a meeting with an admissions counselor is recommended. This will allow the university and the applicant to make more informed decisions. 7. Scholarships & Financial Aid

After admission, your application will be utilized to determine if you are eligible for merit scholarships. For other scholarships and financial aid, you should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form is available at your high school guidance office or college financial aid office. The results should be sent to Lipscomb (Code 003486). For fall admission, the FAFSA should be submitted after January 1 but preferably before February 28.

8. Housing, Health & Educational Records Consent Forms

Upon admission, you will receive an acceptance packet containing housing reservation, health, and educational records consent (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act) forms. To reserve a residence hall room, please complete and return the housing reservation form with the required deposit. Your healthcare provider should complete the health form. The housing reservation form and educational records consent form should be completed by you and returned to the Admissions Office at the address above. The health form must be mailed to the Health Center, Lipscomb University 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville, TN 37204-3951.
