What to do in Nashville

Nashville is a really fun place. Seriously. Even if you only plan to come to Lipscomb for the day, we highly recommend you set aside some extra time to explore the city.

Here’s just a tiny sampling of some of the things you can do to get a taste of Nashville’s quirky spirit.

1. See a show at the Grand Ole Opry—or just gawk at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

2. Stroll around Centennial Park and puzzle over the exact replica of the Parthenon that lives there.

3. Take a spin through the collection of European vehicles (amphibious cars!) at the Lane Motor Museum.

4. Cheer on the Tennessee Titans at a home game.

5. Salute our nation’s seventh president at the Hermitage, Andrew Jackson’s mansion and cotton farm.

6. Find lots of other fun ideas in this official Nashville visitor’s guide.

You’ll probably need some rest after your whirlwind tour of Music City. These hotels are close to downtown and the Lipscomb campus.
